As a Tax Associate at WSRP, you will apply your educational background to serve our dynamic client base. Your primary role will involve preparing a diverse range of income tax returns, encompassing both simple and complex cases, while working both independently and collaboratively within teams. Your typical duties will include utilizing tax software applications, engaging with clients to conduct interviews and gather tax-related information, providing assistance in responding to notices from Federal and State agencies, nurturing professional client relationships, gaining an understanding of our processes, identifying potential tax credits and liabilities, conducting research in compliance with tax laws, preparing year-end projections, performing quarterly estimates, and managing extension filings.

What You Will Do:

During the tax season (January to April and September to October), this position may require you to commit up to 55 to 65 hours per week.
Collaborate with clients to identify and mitigate tax risks, ensuring compliance with tax obligations, and implementing tax strategies that align with business and operational objectives.
Oversee issues related to tax accounting and reporting.
Engage in projects related to mergers and acquisitions, state and local tax accounting, international tax matters, regulatory processes, tax reporting, and strategic initiatives.
Entering personal time on a daily basis
Perform any additional tasks as assigned.

What You Will Bring:

Possession of an Accounting Degree or equivalent experience in Taxation.
Prior experience in Taxation is a valuable asset.
Exceptional communication skills.
Demonstrated proficiency in problem-solving, prioritization, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

Bachelors seeking a Master’s degree
