Job Title: Tax Associate

Job Description:

As a Tax Associate at WSRP you will begin to utilize your educational background to serve the firm’s dynamic client base. You will prepare a variety of simple and complex income tax returns while working independently and in teams. Typical responsibilities will include working with tax software applications, interacting with clients and conducting interviews to gather tax related information, assisting with responses to notices from Federal and State agencies, developing professional relationships with clients and obtaining an understanding of processes, identifying potential tax credits and liabilities, researching tax related matters in compliance with the laws, preparing year-end projections, performing quarterly estimates, and filing extensions.

What You Will Do:

• Work with clients to identify and reduce tax risks through meeting compliance obligations, implementing tax strategies to complement business and operational goals.
• Manage tax accounting and reporting issues.
• You will work on projects dealing with mergers and acquisitions, state and local tax accounting, international tax, regulatory processes, tax reporting and strategy.
• All other tasks as assigned.

What You Will Bring:

• Part qualified in ICASL/CIMA/CMA/ACCA.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Taxation would be fine.
• Prior experience in Tax will be an added advantage.
• Flexibility to be able to work long hours if required.
• Committed to a two-years training program towards a recognized accounting designation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, prioritize and handle multiple tasks.

Education:

• Bachelors seeking a Master’s degree
